Bone conduction module, aluminium, vacuum formed plastic

A device that picks up sounds above 18,000Hz (above adult hearing perception) and transposes them down to frequencies of 12,000Hz that are audible to the human ear. The headband sends these sounds as vibrations through the skull using a set of bone conduction transducers that bypass the eardrum to provide a layer of supersonic hearing.
